On Saturday (3/7/2015) I competed in a local Archery Tournament at NC Hunter’s Supply. Shooting sixty arrows from 10 yards onto a five-spot target, my personal goal was to shoot a perfect score of 300 in a competition. Practicing for hours the week before on two main things paid off. Keeping my hips straight was important but keeping my elbow bent was my biggest challege. Finally accomplishing my goal felt outstanding. My grandparents, mom, dad and sister where all there to watch me hang my target up on the 300 wall. Over the next few weeks I will be working on shooting more x’s in the middle of the target. This time I only shot 38 x’s out of 60. My next goal is to increase that by at least 10 x’s.
